Seiko Merit, a watch brand that adopted the first women's compact movement after the war. This led to the mass production of ladies' watches, with "Merit" (6-type) and "Solar" (5-type) released in 1957 (Showa 32) and "Purple" (6-type double needle) the following year. At that time, the brand name was divided by movement, not design group. Many long rectangular models had decorative elements on both sides in Art Deco style, and the barrel-shaped movement was designed to be slender with decorative design.

【Maintenance】
This watch was made over 50 years ago. You cannot expect the accuracy of a quartz watch. Please be aware that there will be patina on antique watches.
Please be aware that patina may change depending on usage.
It is difficult to track the history of overhauls and repairs.
Antique watches may have parts that are not original and have been replaced. Therefore, it is difficult to repair at the manufacturer.
Please have regular maintenance at a nearby antique watch shop. Regular maintenance will allow you to use it for a long time. I recommend maintenance every 3-4 years.
I purchased this item, but it was different from my image, so I am listing it.
