Sometimes, other X-Men will help players with combat.

In the GBA version, Colossus can be a playable character, and you can switch characters.

Wolverine can retract his claws but each time a button is pressed, his claws are retracted.

Nightcrawler can run through the ceiling pipes or teleport to any area in sight.

Iceman creates a path of ice in front of him and shoots ice beams and ice bullets while flying in the air.
